The MM6790C is a high speed, non-volatile memory board using various combinations of CMOS NVRAM and Flash memory. The board is completely compatible with VME/VME64 and has a data transfer rate of 64 MB/sec. Boards operate with block transfer (BLT) of 256 bytes for VME and 2KB for VME64 (MBLT).
A Flash memory software driver example is provided on a floppy diskette along with a sample listing in "C" code.
With CMOS NVRAM the MM-6790C has two on-board, redundant, fused batteries to backup the memory in case of a power loss. Batteries may be either rechargeable NiCad or non-rechargeable lithium types. On-board LEDs and a control status register indicate battery condition.
Reliability is ensured by burn-in and running memory diagnostics that check operation for 48 hours while temperature-cycling boards between 0 and 65°.
