The requirement for fiber-optics in embedded system continues to increase. To support this, VSYSTEMS offers a number of fiber-optic solutions including Serial FPDP for linking to remote sensors and data storage, general purpose high-speed fiber-optic links with FPGA processing, and 10Gb Ethernet accelerators. Many of these fiber-optic solutions include user-programmable FPGAs to provide flexibility in communications protocol processing and to allow DSP processing close to the I/O.
