The Vanguard Host Exerciser is a powerful utility that enables the user to generate PCIe, PCI-X or PCI traffic, perform memory testing, scan the configuration space, build scripts and perform many other tasks.
The Host Exerciser uses the Host’s Root Complex or Host Bridge to generate traffic to the end-point/peripheral slot in Windows 2000 or XP systems. The Host Exerciser is controlled by VMETRO’s easy-to-use BusView application software running on the same computer, or via an Ethernet connection for the convenience of remote operation. This software allows a user to view captured trace files acquired from a VMETRO Vanguard Analyzer, and build/generate Host Exerciser scripts.
The Vanguard Host Exerciser is included with the BusView GUI for all VMETRO Vanguard and Vanguard Express analyzers. The Host Exerciser can be used with or without a Vanguard or Vanguard Express analyzer.
