SANcab Low Altitude Ruggedized Rack Mount Storage System

The SANcab semi-rugged 19 inch rack mount storage system is the ideal integration platform for high-speed streaming data recording applications such as VMETRO’s Vortex Data Recording systems. The SANcab is a unique combination of a Fibre Channel JBOD using shock-mounted disk drives, a 4-slot VXS, VME or CompactPCI crate for the data recorder electronics, power supplies and air cooling fans in one powerful package.

The SANcab is extremely flexible by design. It is available as a disk storage system only or as a 3.6 Terabyte storage system with 4 slot 6U VXS, VME or cPCI chassis & backplane. It supports 2 Gbps Fibre Channel. Utilizing the dual loop feature on the fibre channel disk drives, the SANcab achieves a sustained throughput of 360MB/s under operational vibration conditions.
