This example explains how an image fusion application was solved using VMETRO products incorporating the following features:
- Image fusion combines several image sources to provide increased image content with automatic content extraction
- Typically used in reconnaissance and mission vision aides where image enhancement is important
- Requires a lot of real-time DSP (10-20 GOPs)
The application was built using multiples of VMETRO's VPF1 Processing nodes in a custom VXS backplane.
